Best Way To Cook Kielbasa

Introduction

Kielbasa is a delicious Polish sausage. You can cook in different ways. But it is a great deli that combines with vegetables. Add broccoli or peas with kielbasa it’s already an awesome dish on your plate. However, everybody doesn’t like veggies.

So, even if I say it goes best with vegetables, some people can disagree. But there comes roasted potato to the rescue. Combining with potato is the best way to cook kielbasa.

Preparations

This fantastic dish takes only 5 minutes of your time to prepare. Hence to make it better, make a dipping sauce, and it will be heavenly. Besides, you do not need to peel the potatoes. 

Ingredients

  • 10 – 12  small red potatoes, cut into ½ ″ thick rings
  • 2 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed and minced
  • 1 lb kielbasa cut into ½ ″ thick rings 

Instruction

  1. You have to preheat your oven at 400° F for 10 minutes.
  2. Now cut both potatoes and kielbasa at ½ “ and take them into a bowl. 
  3. You have to add minced parsley first. Then goes the minced garlic cloves and sea salt. 
  4. For the seasoning to penetrate into both potatoes and meat, add 2 tablespoon olive oil.
  5. Toss everything well till you feel all the potatoes and sausages are seasoned.
  6. Lay a parchment paper or baking sheet over the baking tray.
  7. Place all the diced potato and kielbasa with enough gap between all of them. So air can circulate and get better baked.
  8. Carefully place the tray into your oven. Remember to wear mittens because your oven is going to be hot. The last thing you want to burn yourself instead of enjoying your meal.
  9. Now keep the temperature at 400° and bake everything for 40 to 45 minutes until the color turns into golden brown.
  10. You will have to flip them up in the mid-way of the cooking period. Take a spatula or tong, whichever is available, and flip everything gently. Once everything is baked, just take out the tray and rest it on the kitchen counter.
  11. All you have to do is add some fresh, dried parsley, and it’s ready to eat.

Make a simple dipping sauce

You can eat the dish as is, but I like it better with a dipping sauce. As our dish was straightforward so here is my simple recipe to make the dipping sauce. All you will need is just three ingredients.

  • Hot Tomato Sauce
  • Mayonnaise 
  • Garlic paste

Take a small bowl and add tomato sauce, mayo, and garlic paste altogether. Mix it well with a spoon or beater, and your dipping sauce is done. 

Recipe Notes

  • Potato is king when it comes to baking. But if you would love to get a variation, try carrots or broccoli or both at the same time.
  • Flipping in the midway of cooking is not mandatory, but it makes the baking and browning better.
  • If you got raw kielbasa, then boil them before baking. Take a pan and add water and salt, put all your kielbasa and cook for 20 minutes.

You can cook kielbasa in many ways. Cook it on the grill or sear it on a skillet choice is yours. However, this is the best way to cook kielbasa in a quick and troubleless way.
