Chick Fil A Chicken Tortilla Soup Recipe

Introduction

The great thing about chick-fil-a tortilla soup is you never get enough. It is one of the craved soups for chicken soup lovers for its dense and creamy broth. But the most disappointing is it’s a seasonal dish for restaurants.

You can enjoy this super creamy and spicy soup only during the winter season. Once the dish is out of the menu, you have to wait for the whole year to return of winter. But what if you get the chick fil a chicken tortilla soup recipe on your hand? Make it whenever you want and better than restaurants.

Preparations

When you are going to make something super savory like this soup, making preparation is a must. Get all the ingredients you need for the soup before starting. Also, preparing any toppings before the actual dish is my recommendation.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium chopped white onion
  • 2 minced cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 cans cannellini beans
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 1 rotisserie or roasted chicken, bones removed, and shredded meat
  • 1 whole lemon squeezed juice

Ingredients for Toppings

  • Sliced avocado
  • Tortilla strips, chips
  • Sour cream
  • Sliced jalapenos
  • Shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Take a cooking pan and start your stove in medium heat. Add olive oil and the onions and saute them. Then add the minced garlic and stir till it becomes translucent.
  2. Now add cumin, oregano, and sea salt, then stir it well to mix all the spices perfectly.
  3. Then it’s time to blend things. Put two cans of cannellini beans on the blender but never drain or rinse them. Put directly on the blender and keep the other one for later use.
  4. Blend the beans well and add the pureed beans into the cooking pan. Now add the diced tomatoes and green chilies from the cans. Also, it’s time to put in cream-styled corn and whole kernel corns. Put them directly on the pan and never drain any item.
  5. It’s time to introduce the star of the show. Add all the shredded rotisserie chicken meat into the pot. Stir everything well, so everything gets cooked into the soup.
  6. Add the remaining 1 can of cannellini beans and the black beans. If you want to get most of the flavor, I recommend never drain any item of cans.
  7. Once you put in all the items now close the lid and let the soup cook for 20 to 30 minutes. And remember to keep your gas at medium temperature.
  8. Before taking it off from the stove, add the lemon juice and a little regular salt for taste.
  9. Take the dish on a serving bowl and for the finishing touch, add tortilla chips. If you like it spicy, add jalapenos. And for making it more good-looking sliced avocado and shredded cheese is an excellent way to go.

Recipe note

  • Many of us drain beans cans. But you should avoid this because the liquid on the cans can give your soup a better consistency.

Conclusion

I hope you understand how to make this restaurant-like dish at home. Most restaurants don’t reveal their recipe. But following my chick fil a chicken tortilla soup recipe, you can make a better one at home.
