How to cook chicken sausage

Introduction

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken sausage
  • 14-ounce white kidney beans strained and rinsed
  • Two tablespoon  olive oil
  • One white onion, diced
  • Four cloves garlic, minced
  • One red bell pepper, sliced
  • One teaspoon oregano
  • One teaspoon thyme
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon crushed chilies
  • Four tomatoes, diced
  • Two tablespoons tomato paste
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon  salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh basil, to serve

Instructions

  • Heat a few drops of olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan, then add the sausage and continue to cook until golden brown.  After the sausage is cooked, take it in a bowl.
  • Then in the same pan, add a few more drops of oil and cook with onion and garlic for three to four minutes.  Then add oregano, thyme, fennel, and chili and cook till the aroma comes out.
  • When the aroma comes out, add bell pepper, tomato, salt, and pepper.  Continue to cook until the peppers are fried.
  • Once the vegetables are cooked, add tomato sauce(tomato sauce enhances the taste of food) and water as per your calculation.
  •  Cut the chicken sausages into pieces and add the sauce. Then cook on low heat for ten minutes.
  • Then add the peas to the saucepan and stir gently.  Wait until the sauce thickens and continue to cook the sauce.  And you can add salt to enhance the taste.  And if you like more chilies, you can add extra pepper.
  • When cooked, remove the pan from the oven and allow to cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • When lightly cooled, take in a bowl and serve nicely.

Cooking notes

  • You can cook it also in a microwave oven. For these, set the range at 232 degrees celsius and Pin the chicken sausages gently with a fork. Use oil for coating the sausage. Roast the sausage for 30 to 40 minutes and invert every 10 minutes. When they turn into Brownish color, you will know that the chicken sausages are made.
