How to get Side Quest?

You are to beat the game to unlock side quest. Then start the second playthrough. Continue until you obtain Dynamic Scanner, availed generally during main quest Redheads.

On obtaining the scanner, enter Desert Zone and move as much far as possible from the entrance.

Make sure that the entrance is right behind you even as you move far away from it.

You will come across a researcher working for the resistance group.

To trigger the quest, discuss with the researchers. You are to find three items that should be handed over to the researcher.

How to complete nier automata heritage of the past?

Firstly, equip A170: Scanner. Then, explore the ruins thoroughly. You will come across an Ancient Stick near Access Point “Desert: Center”.

However, you will have to face Medium Explorer enemies and beat them to stop getting interrupted.

Then move away towards Desert Housing, where you have to defeat some enemy groups.

Move ahead with your journey. Picking a signal, your Pod will help you reach the Commandment Slab.

Grab it and keep moving towards Desert Housing.

The next item you will come across is a Filthy Mask close to the left side of the Desert Housing entrance. You can spot the telltale signs easily to pick an item.

On getting the initial three items, return to Desert:Center. Discuss with the researcher. Identify the fourth item located close to the Apologetic Machine.

It is a Girl’s Statue. But you need to overcome around 38-40 enemies. Turning in the quest will help unlock new data. You will get rewarded with numerous items.
